Robert Heaton
Robert Heaton is Director, Transport Industry for Global technology services organization, Logica. Robert is responsible for managing and supporting Logica’s customers in Road, Rail, Air and Sea transport often providing a combination of thought leadership and business expertise around the alignment of technology to business strategies. Typically Robert’s customers are seeking to leverage various technologies and processes to gain business efficiencies, gain competitive edge or attain industry best practice.
Robert joined Logica in January 2010. He brings over 15 years global IT experience with prior appointments as Global Director or Sales Operations for J.D.Edwards based in Denver, United States and European Sales Operations Manager for SAP, based at corporate HQ in Walldorf, Germany. His management career commenced as a production manager for Dunlop UK but was subsequently honed in management consulting appointments to manufacturing and logistics customers around the world.
Robert is involved with several transport industry bodies. He is currently Vice President of the Supply Chain Logistics Association of Australia, contributes to the Technology Special Interest Group at Victorian Transport Association and is a member of Institute Road Transport Engineers.
